Job Summary:

The Logistics Clerk coordinates and expedites the flow of work and solutions according to shipping schedules within or between departments. Duties include reviewing and distributing logistics work and shipment schedules; conferring with management to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Distribute external logistics schedules or work orders to departments and customers/affiliates.
  • Review documents, such as shipping schedules, to determine materials requirements or material priorities.
  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet shipping demands.
  • Assists with interpreting data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.
  • Assists with reviewing procedures, such as distribution or inventory management, to ensure maximum efficiency or minimum cost.Coordinates transports (inbound/outbound - domestic/international- conventional/exceptional) and products (raw material, hazardous material, finished product, spare parts), taking into account the restrictions and special requirements (e.g. Customs, packaging, permits for special transports).
  • Prepares all documentation relevant for transport (packing list, B/L, etc.…).
  • Bills the parts prior to shipment, send the invoices to the customers.
  • Reach the goals/objectives set by the External Logistics Manager.
  • Manage all purchasing orders and administrative tasks relating to the External Logistics Department (travel business organization, meetings with external providers, etc.…).

Job Skills: Applies the required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) in the performance of essential job duties:
  • Proficient with the International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS).
  • Proficient with the internal transportation software system (Lissy).
  • Understands the supply chain and its environment (regulations, agencies…)
  • Has strong verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Has strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) such as BaaN, LN or SAP R3.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to solve problems.
Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and 3 years related experience.
