An opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified Maintenance Superintendent/MEM to work at the Oaky Creek North Mine .You will possess strong leadership skills and demonstrated success in leading a team to achieve high levels of equipment availability all while meeting key performance indicators.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the core purpose of this vital role is to develop and monitor compliance of the site engineering, maintenance and contractor management standards; investigate and implement best practice enhancements to site processes in your area of expertise; assist with the development of cost effective maintenance strategies; and ensure allocated work schedules are achieved.

You will oversee the statutory compliance of the Mechanical Engineering function on site and provide ongoing leadership of the engineering site team. Your technical and management skills will be integral in the development of the team while ensuring appropriate action is taken for all aspects of site health, safety, environment and community issues.

You will possess a mechanical trade as a minimum and/or a Tertiary qualification in Engineering with Post Graduate qualifications in maintenance desirable. Your drive to consistently deliver against performance targets and seek continuous improvement which will be key in your success in the role. You will have a sound knowledge of performing the same or similar roles in an underground Longwall coal operation.

Your knowledge of risk identification processes, safe work practices and relevant statutory requirements will complement your experience in a mining or contracting environment to create and maintain a safe work environment.
