Description

  • May work with all Supervision as Stockchaser on experimental jobs and Purchasing Department and order board in maintaining short lists and expediting the manufacture and movement of parts as required. May use reach truck, order picker, swing reach, jack stacker, hand truck, or scooter to transport parts as required. May use electronic equipment for inquiry and update purposes. May issue move tickets or other paperwork as necessary to expedite movement of parts or materials, jigs or fixtures. May receive or dispense parts and materials; may receive or ship material including necessary packing and maintains necessary paperwork as required. May maintain departmental production records as required for the orderly processing of work orders. May receive parts and materials for storage and working from parts lists and issue tags, dispenses parts and materials. When directed, may check transaction papers such as receipts, requisitions, bill of materials, part lists and may prepare shortage reports. May operate hand operated equipment, as necessary, to process flow of materials within departments, operations and storage areas. May use forklift for handling and distribution of oil house supplies only. Will identify all parts. Will work from engineering drawings, routings, experimental layouts and procedure prints. Will be responsible for the quality of own work. Will train other clerks as directed.

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates will document 2 to 3 years experience using warehouse handling equipment and 2 to 3 years experience using mechanized inventory systems. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate the following qualifications:
  • Demonstrated math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplying, and division whole numbers
  • Legible handwriting
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
