Mechanical Engineer Intern

(Louisiana, MO)

Position Summary:
  • Assist in the specification and data collection for equipment replacement. Update valve specifications for plant piping specifications.

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Role Competencies:
  • Ability to understand and follow specific plant procedures for safety.
  • Improving our company by supplying the plant and with necessary information to provide improvements to the process both efficiently and in a timely manner.

Essential Functions:
  1. Maintaining safety, quality, production and regulatory compliance standards under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
  2. Providing testing and analytical results to be communicated to engineering staff and field personnel.
  3. Create specification packages for select improvement project.
  4. Upgrade valve cut sheets and specification for inclusion in the plant piping specifications.
  5. Report on project during internship at end of summer. Provide presentation to Operations and Engineering staff.

  • Education:

Currently in Third year Bachelor's degree, undergrad program for Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience:

Any related internships; provide work history.

Minimum 2 years college experience
  • Technical:

Interpersonal, communication, organization, math and computer skills
