A driven Metallurgical Superintendent is required for a QLD metalliferous operation on a FIFO basis.

Your new company

Capricorn Copper is an operator of a world class QLD underground metalliferous asset which is now transitioning from care and maintenance to full production. Your new role

Reporting into the Process Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of metallurgical professionals to maximise the performance of the copper concentrator. This will also include evaluating, developing and progressing various metallurgical projects to increase production and critical equipment efficiency. As the Superintendent you will take full responsibility for the metallurgical and laboratory component of the processing plant and will be accountable for ensuring the team meets their production and safety targets.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will need a tertiary qualifications in either minerals processing, extractive metallurgy, chemical engineering or similar. It is essential that you demonstrated experience within copper flotation combined with a comprehensive understanding of metallurgical process optimisation. It will be advantageous but not essential if you have commissioning experience.
