Job Overview

Directs all Komatsu LTD (KLTD) Stravis external reporting and all other external reporting (annual report, governmental and benefit). Accountable for development, maintenance, and training on all aspects of the company wide consolidation tool (BPC). Responsible for the entire Komatsu America Corp. (KAC) financial consilidation process for actuals via the Business Planing and Consolidation (BPC) tool. Responsible for ALL financial reporting and financial data going to KLTD (via Corp, divisions, subs). Standardize, streamline, and automate reporting.

Manage people, processes and technology to ensure all consolidation, KLTD reporting, and other external reporitng is accurate, timely and efficient. Accountable for creating and maintaining consolidation and external reporting procedures along with training and education of such procedures. Responsible for setting and managing KAC wide consolidation and external reporting calendar and due dates.

Drive financial business practice change across KAC in order to 1) meet the needs of senior KAC management and other customers, 2) meet the needs of KLTD management 3) improve the quality of finance reporting across KAC 4) transform the finance group from a data provider role to trusted advisor (e.g. more data analysis and less data gathering).

Support Controller's office with technical research and adherence to accounting policies throughout the region.

Scope

  • KAC revenue over $7 billion USD and assets over $15 billion USD. One direct report. Various customers throughout the region.
  • In excess of 50 KLTD external reports (currently but will be aggregated).


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains a system and process for consolidations and external KLTD reporting. Ensures the integrity of reported financial results (100% accuracy target), timeliness (100% on time), and efficiency.
  • Manages all financial reporting and financial data going to KLTD (via Corp, divisions, subs). Standardize, streamline, and automate reporting.
  • Assist in preparing other financial reports and with other duties as directed


Qualifications/Requirements

  • B.S / B.A. degree with a major in Accounting or Finance. CPA required; M.B.A. a plus.
  • 10+ years related work experience. Public accounting experience a plus
  • Progressive management experience within a diverse environment. Excellent general business knowledge.
  • Good leadership, communication and organization skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop excellent relationships, trust, and credibility throughout the organization. Ability to drive change.
  • Strong PC skills. Understanding of BPC and financial consolidation tools along with SAP knowledge required.
