We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mine Surveyor at our Woodie Woodie open pit operations, reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor.  As an integral part of the Technical Services team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate surveys as required
  • Set-outs and pick-ups
  • End of month surveys and reports
  • Monitoring pit excavations
To be successful in this role, you will ideally hold a Tertiary qualification in Surveying, have well developed surveying skills and be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also possess strong organisational skills, outstanding computer skills and ideally be proficient in Surpac or a similar software.  Duties of this role involve spending lengthy periods working in extreme conditions, being physically fit and able to work in hot, dry conditions is essential.

This position will allow you to build on your current experience (Including use of the latest Riegl laser scanner) and make a significant contribution into production success by having direct ‘hands on’ input into daily activities. Together with a great 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth and fantastic village facilities, the successful candidate will receive appropriate training, mentoring and a genuine long term career path.
