  • As a Simulation Engineer you will serve as an experienced individual contributor on projects and assignments that are complex in nature and that support and enhance [Company] product performance, durability, reliability, quality, and serviceability.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform structural analysis to evaluate/validate designs of core engine components/systems and engine-mounted equipment.
  • Document analysis objectives, conclusions, results, and assumptions.
  • Interpret analysis results and communicate recommendations for design improvement.
  • Gain expertise in this area and take on more responsibility in leading projects.
  • Contribute to the identification, analysis, and resolution of issues in engine system components and begin to build a reputation as an expert.
  • Perform complex analysis work, identify, and solve problems.
  • Keep up-to-date on new technologies and/or develop new technologies.
  • Support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, dealers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain a keen understanding of internal and external customers' needs.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, and implementation of these through scripting/automation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum plus 3 to 5 years experience or a
  • Master's degree in an Engineering curriculum plus 1 to 2 years experience or a Doctorate degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years of simulation experience

Top Candidates Will also Have:

  • Engine development experience
  • Knowledge of design, manufacturing, assembly processes, quality, and testing
  • Programming/scripting experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Expertise in solving nonlinear FEA problems
  • FEA solver experience – Abaqus
  • Experience in thermal-mechanical structural analysis
  • Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers
