Position Summary

Primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently perform maintenance or repairs on all plant and mobile equipment in a sand and gravel dredging environment in addition to operating the plant. Maintain computerized maintenance and repair records. Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including cutting and welding (experience preferred). Use a hand shovel and operate a skid steer, front end loader, and water truck to clean around plant equipment and to maintain roadways and parking areas. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor; participate in safety inspections and plant safety program.

Requirements

  • Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team
  • Must be able to pass a post offer drug screen, physical and background check
  • Plant Clean-up and lubrication
  • Assist with plant repairs during maintenance
  • Operate Mobile Equipment
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company safety and environmental policies
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Team Oriented
  • Flexible to learn multiple tasks
  • Able to work weekends
  • Self Managed and energetic
  • Previous mining experience a plus
  • Welding experience a plus
