Eco Recruitment is a specialist recruitment company with a niche focus on the the water industry, contaminated resources, eco solutions, mining & energy sectors. We aim to source high calibre professional candidates for our clients and interesting and environmentally sound opportunities for candidates.

With offices dotted around Australia (and the globe!), our client has a small but dedicated work force based in Melbourne. The strategic plan is to continue growing on the East Coast and in particular within Victoria. For this reason, we are currently seeking the services of a Principal Environmental Consultant to join this organisation by Jan 2013.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be winning and delivering environmental consulting work within Victoria. To do this you will be required to:

  • Liaise with clients, sub consultants, authorities and contractors to deliver projects
  • Mentor, train and project manage junior team members
  • Conduct site-based work including Phase I-III assessments
  • Interpret data and write technical reports
  • An ability to produce hydrogeological models would be highly regarded
The Melbourne office currently consults on projects related to contaminated land, construction environmental management, EIS and EIA. Ideally you will have a strong background across CLM, however candidates with a mix of environmental experience will be highly regarded. To be considered for this role you will have:
  • Degree in engineering, science or equivalent
  • Significant consulting experience
  • A background or some experience working for a contractor would be highly regarded
  • Hydrogeological experience
  • An excellent understanding of relevant Victorian legislation and regulations
In return for your skills and experience you will be offered a rare opportunity to join a very small (but fast growing) office within a much larger company where the benefits of autonomy and diversification are matched by significant resource support to win and deliver projects. This position will report directly to the MD and your salary will be highly negotiable depending on the experience and skills you can bring to the table.
