Responsibilities

  • Manage the SP&C projects for the management group of the SP&C product line.
  • Ensure each SP&C project has full project management control, with reporting of progress, status and results against project plans for performance: on time, on specification and on budget.
  • Deliver the agreed upon outcomes for each SP&C project with full responsibility against the project plans.
  • Support the product management team in project scope limits, estimating and scheduling NPD SP&C projects.
  • Plan and coordinate resources required to execute each SP&C project successfully.
  • Liaise with contractors, employees and management (including engineering, supply chain, sales and commercial functions) to develop relationships that are conducive to the successful completion of the projects.
  • Comply with [Company] policy and procedures for project management.  These include JGPOL2.1 (Global Engineering Project Management), GSOP 0008 (Management of Order Acquisition Process), and GSOP 0010 (Class 2 Project Management).

Background

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with business fundamentals, required.
  • Advanced degree(s) in engineering, science, and/or business, highly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing people and/or major projects in industry, required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mining or machine design, desired.
  • Leadership implementing Lean Engineering principles, highly desired.
  • Sponsorship of effective Change Management implementation, desired.
  • Effective understanding of product marketing principles, required.
  • Certifications or demonstrated project management, required
