  • Support manufacturing to meet production plan. Create working plans, procedures, and projects for purchasing department to meet company goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing to meet production plans. Ensure that orders are created and sent to suppliers at the proper time.
  • Monitor and evaluate MRP factors of production parts.
  • Ensure on time deliveries by monitoring open order reports and preproduction shortage reports.
  • Expected Result: No production downtime due to missing parts.
  • Manage / Monitor raw material inventory levels to achieve company goals.
  • Review and adjust MRP values (such as safety stock levels) as needed
  • Monitor and review engineering changes to minimize obsolete inventory.
  • Review and approve inventory adjustments submitted via regular cycle count programs.
  • Expected Result: Achieve company targets of MOH and year ending inventory.
  • Manage department staff and monitor activities to meet yearly business plan.
  • Create yearly department business plan that supports plant and company business goals.
  • Communicate company goals and objectives with staff.
  • Train and develop staff.
  • Provide regular performance feedback.
  • Recruit and select qualified employees.
  • Expected Result: Meet company goals and business objectives.


  • BS degree in Business or Engineering and at least 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with MRP and inventory control.
  • MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, MS Power Point
  • SAP experience including MRP, Purchasing, Engineering Control, BOM, Quality Control, and Warehouse.
  • Experience with Warehouse systems and logistics including JIT delivery.
  • Travel as Needed to Suppliers, [Company] factories
