WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Quality Engineer will work to ensure the overall quality of manufactured products, as well as support development and continuous improvement of key business processes. Responsibilities will include:
  • Identifying and understanding root causes of product nonconformance.
  • Working closely with Operations to develop and implement successful fixes, changes practices where necessary to ensure that standards are met.
  • Creation of quality documentation and development of SOPs for the facility .
  • Proactive review and improvement of systems and processes to ensure maintenance of standards.
  • Maintaining accurate quality documentation.
  • Working closely with Operations to ensure quality processes are followed, documentation is correctly maintained, and implement any new changes or adaptations based on quality review.
  • Analyzing problems reported and developing improvements to overcome them.
  • Statistical analysis of manufacturing data and creation of reports.
  • Working with various stakeholders at every part of the manufacturing process, including R&D, suppliers, Operations, and customers.
  • Support all quality systems, both development and maintenance, per IATF 16949 requirements
  • Continuous improvement to the manufacturing process, while staying as efficient and cost effective as possible.



WHAT WE EXPECT
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field required. A.S.Q. certified quality engineer strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and TS/ IATF 16949 standards required.
  • Minimum six (6) years' experience in quality engineering or supplier development required.
  • Knowledge of standard quality practices, i.e. FMEA's, APQP, SPC, DOE, etc.
  • Solid working knowledge of PPAP processes.
  • Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and teach the team effective problem solving methods.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
