This position is responsible for overseeing the entire logistics and supply chain process for our North American Oil & Gas key customers, to ensure logistics and distribution plans move materials and products, to include freight logistics management, in a timely and cost-effective way respectively, and in compliance with all safety regulations. In addition to a close working relationship with our external customers, this position will also work closely with our sales, manufacturing, supply chain and customer service teams to ensure top levels of service are delivered to our customers.

Additional Responsibilities:

Monitor / assist with co-ordination, communications, documentation required in logistics process and transportation, within the NA production / supply chain footprint.

Manage entire Supply Chain from producing sites to consuming locations including demand forecasting, shipping requirements, warehousing & distribution, movement tracking, unloading and inventory management, meeting system inventory targets, fulfilling contractual obligations, providing rolling forecasts.

Provide direction and guidance to sales, customer service and manufacturing teams with respect to supply chain, transportation and inventory management.

Manage entire outbound freight logistics to customer locations, to include bulk truck, rail and other modes of transportation.

Optimize and manage inventories for both normal and unusual conditions (turnarounds, upsets, shortages).

Improve planning system via automation, delegation, and integration to make it more timely and accurate.

Ensure in time, in quality and in spec delivery of raw materials, intermediate and finished products.

Ensure safe and compliant logistic operations.

Define, negotiate and manage agreements with regional suppliers and subcontractors.

Develop and manage projects to improve performance and effectiveness and/or to respond to customer and market needs.

Develop new Supply Chain approaches, enabling the Sales & Marketing to propose competitive offers to their customers.

Ensure the management of and permanently improve the claim process in order to resolve the causes of customer complaints.

Discuss and resolve with members of the Sales & Marketing and of Production important issues affecting Logistics & SC Operations.

Ensure excellence in Customer satisfaction at all times.


B.S. Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or related field.

At least five (5) years’ experience working in supply chain, logistics or related experience in Oil & Gas.

Knowledge of Demand Forecasting / DRP Techniques / Production Planning.

Must have excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills to interact with customers, manufacturing sites, sales, customer service teams to ensure top productivity and satisfaction levels.

Excellent computer skills required (SAP experience preferred).

Experience shipping hazardous materials.

Knowledge of physical equipment and capacities for loading, shipping, unloading, and storage of product.

Knowledge of transportation and railroad operations and routes, rail hardware limitations, and border crossing requirements.

Ability to coordinate logistics services to meet business needs and optimize costs.
