[Company] Pty Ltd is an emerging gold producer with operations in Western Australia and in Northern Queensland. With its parent company based in China, the company has an active growth strategy to develop into a mid-tier producer and has immediate growth activity in place.

We are currently searching to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Resource Geologist to join us on a fulltime basis at our Pajingo Operation. Reporting to the Senior Resource Geologist this role is responsible for the development of grade control and mineral resource models and resource reporting at Pajingo. FIFO Brisbane and accommodation provided.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills, qualifications & personal attributes:
  • Territory qualifications in Geology
  • A minimum of 8 years post graduate overall geology experience
  • 2 years’ direct experience in resource estimation for gold
  • Strong interpretation and analytical skills
  • Familiar with epithermal gold mineralisation systems
  • Demonstrated planning, analytical, report writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of common resource modelling software packages similar to Vulcan and Snowden’s Supervisor
  • The proven ability to respond and complete requested projects within required deadlines
  • Although not essential meeting the Competent Person sign off criteria for JORC compliant mineral resource reporting would be highly regarded as well as a background in both open pit and underground would be highly regarded

Duties and Responsibilities will include:
  • Generate  3D interpretations of geology and mineralisation  and review and validate all geology and mineralisation resources
  • Create resource block models and run grade estimations as well as validating resource block models prior to reporting and releasing
  • Reconcile resource block model against previous resource models, grade control models and past production figure
  • Assist with overseeing data validation to guarantee the integrity and reliability of the geological database, which is used for resource and reserve estimation (LOM planning)
  • Design resource drilling programmes and review drilling proposals
  • Production of resource reports, including monthly reports  as well assisting with annual technical reports as required
