  • [Company] is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Business Consultant, with consulting experience and a track record in managing client relationships. This position will play a leadership role in growing the health and safety (H&S) segment of our Performance & Assurance practice in Rolling Meadows, IL. The ideal candidate will bring a track record in designing and delivering H&S technical solutions and an understanding of business processes related to identifying and managing EHS challenges and opportunities.
  • As a senior leader, this professional will be accountable for identifying/characterizing opportunities; developing value propositions; selling concepts; and designing/driving delivery on a range of EHS compliance projects while coordinating with our global Performance & Assurance practice team. This is a unique opportunity for a senior-level professional looking to advance his/her career with a global environmental leader and work with a team of outstanding professionals in over 40 countries around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategic business/action plans related to performance monitoring; provide technical leadership on EHS compliance; and actively contribute to/expand [Company]  Performance & Assurance and client base, with a particular focus on H&S services. Serve as a member of the “core” practice team to drive profitable growth across the H&S service line.
  • As a senior “seller/doer/multiplier,” play a leadership role in expanding [Company]  P&A services. Identify and develop new opportunities; prepare technical and commercial proposals; and develop new business with new and existing clients, expanding client relationships that generate repeat business or open doors to other services.
  • Be able to design, sell and direct delivery of corporate H&S strategies and programs for behavior-based safety, compliance auditing, OHSAS/management systems, process safety and risk management, high-impact training, and general compliance support. Achieve client’s expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of practice team. Actively engage and participate in our technical communities and support our commercial strategy.
  • Develop a working understanding of [Company] other consulting practice areas and actively support cross-selling these services to existing clients. 

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related science degree.
  • 15+ year’s relevant consulting experience in working with significant industrial clients on regulatory compliance and sustainable EHS compliance programs.
  • Passionate about EHS performance improvement and minimum 15+ years’ experience in developing and delivering EHS program solutions.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies, including demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, and book personal sales in new consulting services.
  • Recognized technical expertise by and established reputation in the local marketplace.
  • Certification in field; CSP, CIH, PE, or similar registration desirable.
