  •  [Company] a leading supplier of equipment and services to the global cement and minerals industries, is seeking qualified candidates to fill a role as a Sr. Training Engineer in the Field Services Department.

Brief Description 

  • The Sr. Training Engineer is responsible for all private, public and project training conducted in the mechanical and electrical/instrumentation disciplines for the Americas. The Sr. Training Engineer is responsible for developing, conducting, coaching, mentoring and leading training for the Americas.

Detailed Description 

  • Conducts training in the mechanical disciplines on public, private or project training with a feedback from the participants higher of 4.4 of 5
  • Conducts training in the mechanical disciplines on public, private or project training with a jump in knowledge average of the participants of 35% minimum.
  • Support the implementation of the annual business and marketing plan for the Americas.
  • Interface with a customer/end user of training to determine what that customer/end user requires for detail and technical content in the training.
  • Maintain trainers/consultants files and the approved trainer register to ensure that all trainers/consultants hold the required qualifications and professional industry competency prior to any appointment to deliver a training course/workshop activity.
  • Develop and deliver training material for courses and seminars or supervise other persons who will develop or deliver those materials.
  • Perform sales contacts by telephone, email, and travel to promote seminars, on-site training and other business opportunities.
  • Prepare training proposals. Proposal submitted per year: minimum 20
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget for the Services Training Department.
  • Provide mechanical assistance to other departments in Field Services in times of emergency.
  • Collect and assess course feedback (evaluations and trainer/assessor feedback) and ensure this feedback is analysed and appropriate actions or responses are developed for consideration and/or implementation.

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in the use of computer software, preferably Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power point, and desk top publishing.
  • 5-7 years of experience in design engineering or maintenance for the cement, minerals, or related pyro processing industries is helpful.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and adapt to a changing work environment and culture.
  • Ability to work independently to handle a variety of functions in a prompt, efficient, accurate, and confidential manner.
