About this role:

At [Company], sustainability is embedded through our strategic direction, and we commit to creating value through social and environmental leadership. In a newly formed global Sustainability Strategy team, this role has been created to develop, manage and deliver our Sustainability communications for external and internal stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversees the Sustainability Reporting Suite to required deadlines:
  • Conducts annual materiality assessment
  • Plans content and data to meet requirements of sustainability frameworks
  • Manages report writing process through chapter coordinators and document writers;
  • Provides technical writing skill capability and ensures data quality and accuracy across both regional HSE&C reporting teams
  • Develops and maintains relationships and communications with key internal stakeholders engaged in the sustainability reporting suite;
  • Develops and maintains relationships with the Global Reporting Initiative, Socially Responsible Investment agencies and other networks engaged in the sustainability reporting agenda;
  • Coordinates submissions to DJSI, CDP, Global Compact and other indices;
  • Co-ordinates document certification and approvals;
  • Monitors key developments in the Sustainability Reporting agenda;


Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Broad knowledge of sustainability processes, systems and performance measures such as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), CDP and DJSI.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Broad knowledge of sustainability trends and developments internationally
  • Proven ability as a technical writer for sustainability related material
  • Experience coordinating or managing sustainability reporting processes in an asset or corporate environment;
  • Experience/expertise in functioning across multiple geographies, various sizes of operations / projects and jurisdictions
  • Experience in developing communications plans and developing messaging via various media
