Longview, TX Operations


  • Work Safe and be an advocate for Safety
  • Support Monthly Closing Process
  • Perform monthly management reporting and financial analysis
  • Consolidate financial information reported from Operating units
  • Responsible for internal accounting controls for Longview Operations to insure compliance with Company policy and procedures
  • Provide financial analysis for special projects such as restructuring, capital investments, etc.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account analysis
  • Prepare financial reports and ad-hoc reports, as directed
  • Pursue standardization and accuracy on transactional charges to general ledger and provide honest representation of financial statements
  • Perform account reconciliations to insure accuracy and compliance with GAAP monthly
  • Provide support to internal and external auditors along with performance of internal audit tasks
  • Provide advice to the business unit concerning sales & use tax matters including assessment
  • Prepare budget and forecasting balance sheet and income statement projections
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Administration of annual property tax renditions, accounting and forecasting.

Education / Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • CPA/CMA strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting or finance department role
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing organization strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills) with prior SAP and Hyperion experience required
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Effective communication skills with all levels - upper management to clerical throughout the world
  • Ability to work effectively in a high growth environment and a rapidly changing organization
  • Strong desire to learn with the ability and aptitude to understand systems and processes
