About The Role

  • This is a newly created position, and will be located at our North American Headquarters, in Watkins, Colorado.   We are looking for a team member with solid, well-rounded benefits expertise, who is collaborative, creative and strives to provide top- notch service to employees.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supports administration of the health and welfare benefit plans, retirement plans, workers compensation and absence management.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with applicable provisions of ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and HIPAA.  Performs regular audits of benefit systems, data file feeds to carriers, benefit process, and manages any modifications necessary to ensure compliance. Keeps management informed of compliance activities and of any significant concerns.
  • Prepares reporting required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, and other regulatory agencies. Stay current on changing regulations and legislation that may affect employee benefits.
  • Ensures benefit enrollment system is programmed according to eligibility and plan specifications, Resolves discrepancies and oversees any programming modifications due to plan or legal changes.
  • Facilitates the testing and troubleshooting of data feeds to and from external or internal systems, collaborating with internal technical resources as well as external vendors.
  • Supports the annual open enrollment process, including communication strategy; plan setup with vendors.
  • Collaborates with benefits team to provide support to employees in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Responds to benefit inquiries to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or Business related field of study.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Benefits, with at least 3 years of administration and compliance for health, welfare, leave management, workers compensation and retirement plans.
  • Solid experience with HRIS systems (Preferably ADP and SAP)
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPPA, FMLA and COBRA
