Wake Tech students considered for Computer Technologies positions should have a basic understanding of software programming, which may include experience using Matlab Simulink and C/C++ programing. All positions require working in a team environment and demonstrating quality customer service. Responsibilities vary from job to job, but may include: analysis and testing, and embedded software data management.

Considerations include education or experience in the Computer Technologies field. In addition, successful performance requires sound judgment, motivation, effective interaction with others and the ability to handle an array of responsibilities.

The Work Based Learning program allows students the opportunity to work at [Company] while going to school. These positions are open to students who are part of the Work Based Learning program at Wake Tech.

Required Qualifications:
• Must have and maintain a 2.8 / 4.0 cumulative GPA and be eligible for the Work Based Learning program.
• Must be a full-time community college student within driving distance to the Clayton, NC facility.
• One semester of C/C++ completed
• Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week while attending school full time.

Desired Qualifications:
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
• Familiarity with code versioning systems such as GIT.
• Strong communication, teamwork and analytical skills
• Experience with unit & functional testing
• Familiarity in the application of data links such as CAN/J1939
• Familiarity with Microprocessor controllers
• Basic understanding of electronic hardware and/or working in a lab environment

• Must have reliable transportation

These are part time temporary openings located in the Clayton, NC area. Relocation is not available.
