Thiess Indonesia at the Wahana coal mine in South Kalimantan provides coal mining services including overburden removal, pit dewatering and coal hauling to port, for client Bayan Resources.
About the role
As our next Supervisor Environmental reporting to Superintendent HSEQ, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
About you
What skills and experience do you need?

Some of your duties will include:
  • Develop, manage, communicate, implement, maintain, audit and review Environmental Management Plan consistently to meet ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Develop, manage, communicate, implement, maintain, audit, and review, environmental management procedures and support their implementation so as to achieve environmental objectives and targets set for the projects
  • Determine the work activities and priorities of the Environmental Group
  • Deliver Environmental Performance
  • Actively contribute to a positive team work environmental at all times
  • Communicate openly and honestly at all times


What skills and experience do you need?
  • Degree in Environmental or Agricultural or Biology or Forestry or Chemical Engineering
  • ISO:14001 Auditor
  • Has attended training on water management, re-vegetation and rehabilitation, ISO 14001, waste management, etc.
  • Environmental scope of work in mining activities
  • Good English (written and oral), and computer skill
