Permit Supervisor

Roster: 4/3

FIFO ex: Perth

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Managing the Permit to Work system documents such as work permits, isolation lists and risk assessments to ensure that safe systems of work are maintained
  • Recognition of risks and potential risks and implementing appropriate actions
  • Timely administration of records, incidents and any reports
  • Active engagement with internal and external parties to ensure all rundown, run-up, isolations and permit plans are develop as per the maintenance/shut schedule
  • Coach and mentor the Permit teams focusing on continuous improvement
  • Leading Permit interaction meetings with a risk based approach to ensure permits reflect the Maintenance/shut schedule

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Knowledge of process plants maintenance systems and procedures
  • Sound understanding of the Permit to Work process and requirements
  • Thorough understanding of hazards associated with maintenance activities within complex process plants
  • Experience with risk assessment processes (JHA, Take 5, WWH, CS etc)
  • Administrative experience (data entry, word processing, document management etc.,)
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project
  • Experience in electronic permit systems desirable
