We are currently seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our Transportation Engineering Team in Regina. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of highway construction projects in Southern Saskatchewan.


• Accurate, cost effective, and timely completion of construction layout and data collection surveys in accordance with company and client quality standards

• Directing and supervising survey assistants, including provision of technical guidance, safety leadership, and mentorship

• Effective communication with our company project manager, contractors, and clients

• Processing and reviewing field survey data for completeness and accuracy, and effectively organizing large survey data sets on a given project

• Understanding roadway construction drawings and extracting digital design information for construction layout

• Understanding methods of measurement and payment for construction bid items, preparation of digital surface models, and quantity calculations

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Geomatics/Surveying, or several years of equivalent relevant experience

• Minimum 3 years of related experience on roadway construction projects in Canada, although applicants with directly relevant experience less than 3 years will be considered

• Availability to travel for work on project sites throughout Saskatchewan

• Experience utilizing GPS and total station survey equipment; familiarity with Trimble Survey Controllers would be considered an asset

• Experience with survey software; familiarity with Trimble Business Center and/or Civil 3D software would be considered an asset

• Must be well organized and have the ability to manage and prioritize several tasks at one time to ensure a commitment to project delivery and technical excellence

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required

• Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment is necessary

• Must possess a valid driver license, with a favourable driver's abstract
