SUMMARY

DMC is currently looking for Training Specialist, to join our team on a 6 month contract, based in our Vaughan office. As a member of the Human Resources team, the Training Specialist will work collaboratively and under the guidance of the Corporate Lead for Training and OD, to support the design, delivery, maintenance and evaluation of training programs and initiatives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Listed examples include but not limited to:

1. Delivery & Facilitation of Learning of training programs:

• Deliver training and learning solutions using a variety of mediums including in-class, e-learning, virtual facilitation, and blended learning.

• Manage learners in a mature, professional learning environment.

• Evaluate effectiveness of training and development programs through observation, benchmarking and testing, to assess comprehension and adoption of knowledge to ensure successful job readiness transition

2. Design Curricula and Learning Experiences:

• Collaborate with colleagues and program stakeholders to design and implement learning solutions & reinforcement tools that align business needs with training objectives.

• Coordinate administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs including training schedules, communication, reports, lessons learned etc.

• Ensure training materials and documentations are up to date in keeping up with market changes

• Recommend and implement improvements/enhancements to programs as required

3. LMS Management and support:

• Support organizational integration and migration to a new learning management platform, facilitating system training to trainers (TTT)

• Develop training profiles for each position in the organization, in collaboration with technical training team

• Design e-learning modules for online learning, including adapting training packages to online functionality

• Manage training database, including support project administrators on system maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in adult education, human resources, communications, instructional design, instructional technology, and/or related field required

• Adult Instruction or Training & Development Professional Certification would be an asset.

• Minimum 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

• Experience with designing and developing training curriculum with multiple delivery methods, including instructor-led, web based, audio and video.

• Knowledge of current trends and practices related to training and development (i.e. gamification, social learning, micro learning, etc.)

• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems or other database management systems

• Project Management skills

• Knowledge of multimedia authoring tools would be an asset

• Design thinking training is an asset
