[Company] Pty Ltd is an emerging gold producer with operations in Western Australia and in Northern Queensland. With its parent company based in China, the company has an active growth strategy to develop into a mid-tier producer and has immediate growth activity in place.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Underground Mine Geologist to join us on a fulltime basis at our Southern Cross Gold Operations on a drive in drive out basis, 8 days on 6 days off roster. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, this role is responsible for the implementation of grade control practices, production monitoring and reconciliation within mining operations.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills, qualifications & personal attributes:

• Tertiary qualifications in Geology
• Minimum 2 years post graduate geology experience in an underground gold mine
• Experience with ore control data collection and analysis
• Although not essential previous experience with operational grade control would be highly regarded as would experience with Archean gold mineralisation
• Demonstrated planning, analytical, report writing and communication skills
• High level administrative skills, including the ability to meet deadlines
• Continuous commitment to professional development
• Proficient in the use of common resource software packages like Surpac and ArcGIS

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Implement and manage grade control including drilling, sampling and assay dispatch
• Designate ore destination for development and stope material minimising delays to mining fleet and ensuring accuracy of ore mined
• Liaise with mining team on most effective excavation of ore to minimise dilution and maximise recovery including geologically and geotechnically mapping active areas to assist in ore body delineation
• Monitor production and stockpiling to ensure correct haulage, communicate changes to stockpiling processes and report stockpile numbers
• Communicate with contractors road train fleet to ensure sufficient ROM stocks to meet blending requirements
• Daily production reporting
• Provide geology, stockpile and grade advice to Mining and Processing as required
• Adhere to safety and environmental systems, policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others
