Gold Fields Australia are currently accepting applications for Vacation Student Geotechnical Engineers over the November/December University break.

The roles are available on a casual contract and are based at the Agnew Gold Mine. This is a Fly in Fly out from Perth position on an 10 days on 4 days off roster.

During your time on site, you will have access to highly experienced and knowledgeable technical professionals who will expose you to various aspects of our diverse mining environment.

We will assist you with building highly sought after skills to gain confidence with your experience in a safe, challenging and rewarding working environment.

Key factors to your success include:

  • Current C Class WA manual license
  • Currently in the 2 nd Year onwards of your Engineering degree
  • Exposure and/or Experience in a Mining environment would be highly regarded
  • Prior work experience of 12 hour shifts would be advantageous to your application
  • Prior work experience using safety procedures would be essential/beneficial
  • Familiarity with working in a remote locations under extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to follow instructions, pick up new tasks/software systems and work in a team environment
