  • Like every member of the [Company] Team, your role as Vice President of National Sales is key to the company’s success.  Naturally, the Vice President of National Sales is accountable for the company’s overall national sales function, providing leadership, direction, and resource stewardship.  While this position encompasses strategy, leadership and execution, your primary role and responsibilities are to:
  • Lead a national sales strategy that aligns with corporate objectives and delivers market leading organic growth on a year over year basis
  • Build, lead and maintain a team of exceptionally talented consultative sales professionals who collectively can be relied upon to deliver “at plan” revenue growth across established and new accounts
  • Identify new strategic growth opportunities, industry trends and developing markets and adapt sales strategy and tactics accordingly   
  • Manage all aspects of the sales function and selling process including account planning, pipeline management, budgeting, reporting, etc.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability and high achievement across the national sales team
  • Regularly collaborate with executive leadership, management, operations/field personnel, seller-doers, and support personnel across all aspects of the sales process and customer lifecycle
  • Champion strong client satisfaction to cultivate customer loyalty and retention
  • Identify, recruit, and develop high caliber sales professionals

Minimum Requirements 

  • Great minds think alike!  Now that we understand each other, let’s sort through the minimum qualifications for this position:
  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ direct sales experience in business-to-business consultative sales
  • Minimum 15 years of business-to-business executive sales management experience in professional services and consulting
  • A proven track record in executive sales in environmental consulting and services is strongly preferred
