Reporting to the Regional President and to the Corporate HR VP in USA is responsible for developing standardized HR Policies and Procedures for the 3 operations in South America (Argentina, Bolivia and Chile). Organization of Regional Human Resources Department. Development and implementation of salary structures and associated benefits for each country. Expatriates support and work permits processes. Union negotiations leadership in Bolivia, Argentina and Chile. Last negotiation in Chile was considered by Corporate USA offices as a remarkable success. Development of South American 2008 Operation budgets for personnel based within the 3 countries. Currently working in reviewing current organization for re-organizing to face new challenges in expanding the business scope in Mexico (Palmarejo) and participating as a part of a team in the searching of two new projects in South America. Reporting to the Operations Manager at mine site is responsible for organizing the IR Department with their units of Welfare, Payroll, Training, Services to personnel (Camps, cafeteria, sports and recreation). Analysis of HR expenses and costs reductions, re-designs of Jobs descriptions and variable compensations alignment, Union negotiations, Housing plans for employees optimizing government assistance programs.
02/1980 – 08/1983 Holiday Inn Andina Inc. Personnel Assistant and Head of Personnel Department.
Started as Assistant to the Head of Personnel Department, in charge of Payroll and Welfare. Promoted as Head of department in 1981 after approved Training program in the
USA and once Expatriated Personnel Manager was transferred back to the point of origin in the USA.
