Constraints on Solid Energy are affecting the state-owned enterprise's ability to benefit from soaring coal prices, a new report suggests, reports the Australian Associated Press.

State Of The Industry Review: Coal
In its Statistical Review of World Energy 2006 BP confirmed that coal was again the world's fastest-growing fuel, with global consumption rising by 5% or twice the 10-year average. Consumption in China, the world's largest consumer, rose by 11% and China accounted for 80% of global growth. Consumption growth in the USA was also above average, while growth in the rest of the world was close to the 10-year average. Looking forward, there is general optimism about the coal sector.
