Companies and properties on InfoMine db are categorized by classification. Companies are also categorized by type. These classifications have been designed to provide users with background on what level of detail is maintained in the company or property report they are viewing.

Classification:

Companies and properties on InfoMine db have been classified to help users determine how much information is listed in the company or property report and indicate how often the reports are updated.

Companies -

MONITOR: A detailed InfoMine db report is maintained for this company. All documents submitted by the company to the stock exchanges are collected and catalogued for the company. All documents collected from the company are analyzed and the pertinent information is added to InfoMine db.

TRACK: A basic InfoMine db report is maintained for this company. All documents submitted by the company to the stock exchanges are collected and catalogued for the company. All annual documents are analyzed and the pertinent information is added to InfoMine db. Some news releases and other documents are also analyzed for the company. For the latest information on the company look up their most recent documents.

DEVELOPMENT: Contact information for this company is maintained on InfoMine db. Documents are starting to be collected and catalogued for the company. A partial InfoMine db report may be available for the company but the report is under development and is not yet complete. Documents from the company are not routinely analyzed.

MISC: Very limited information is listed for this company on InfoMine db. The company is listed on InfoMine db because of a property ownership or corporate relationship with a company on the database that is classified as MONITOR or TRACK. A document library is not maintained for the company and documents from the company are not analyzed.

ARCHIVE: Information on the company is no longer updated on InfoMine db. Companies that are no longer involved in mining or are involved in a part of the industry that is not being covered by InfoMine db are listed in this classification. The information had been left on the database for historical research purposes.

  • Detailed Info includes Monitor and Track companies.
  • Basic Info includes Development and Miscellaneous companies.
  • Archived Info includes Archived companies.

Properties -

ACTIVE/VERIFIED: An InfoMine db report is maintained for the property. Only properties owned by companies classified as MONITOR or TRACK are maintained on the database. The amount of information listed in the InfoMine db property report depends on how many documents are analyzed for the company and the amount of information the company reports on the property. Please note that this classification does not indicate that the property is currently being developed or explored. It only indicates that documents released by one of the owners continue to make reference to the property.

ARCHIVE: Information on the property is no longer updated on InfoMine db. Properties that are no longer owned by companies that are updated on the database (i.e. classified as MONITOR or TRACK) are listed in this classification. The information had been left on the database for historical research purposes.

STATUS: In general, the current work status of the property. The choices are: Raw Prospect, Exploration, Producer, Past Producer or Unknown. The distinction between Raw Prospect and Exploration property is somewhat arbitrary, however, if significant activity beyond staking and initial propsecting has occurred, a property is considered an Exploration Property.

TYPE OF WORK: The current activity on the property, whether it be mining or exploration. The choices include, Placer mining, Surface exploration, Open-pit mining, Open-pit/underground mining or exploration, Underground mining or exploration, Tailings mining, or Unknown.

Type:

PUBLIC: Companies that trade on major stock exchanges and must regularly submit documentation to the required securities commission.

REPORTING: Companies that report to and file documents with a securities commission, but do not trade on a stock exchange.

DELISTED: Companies that once traded on a major stock exchange and have been delisted.

OTHER: Private companies, limited partnerships, governments, etc. that do not file documents to a major stock exchange.

INDIVIDUAL: An individual person.
