Les Mines Opinaca Ltée, a subsidiary of Goldcorp Inc., appoints Met-Chem as the Project Leader for its Éléonore Project Feasibility Study

Met-Chem Canada Inc. (Met-Chem) is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Les Mines Opinaca Ltée (Opinaca), a subsidiary of Goldcorp Inc., to lead the Feasibility Study on the Éléonore Gold Project in Quebec.

Goldcorp, one of the world's largest gold mining companies, is a Canadian-based company with its corporate office in Vancouver. The Éléonore property is located in the James Bay district of Northern Quebec. Met-Chem will have the overall responsibility for the study and will be supported by Golder Associates, Micon International, Cook Engineering and Groupe Stavibel.

Met-Chem has successfully teamed with these companies and with most of their principal engineers in similar gold and base metals projects in the past. To fulfill the requirements of this project, Met-Chem has put together an outstanding team of qualified managers and engineers, based on a blend of knowledge and experience in the mining sector in large scale assignments.

In addition to its appointment as the overall project leader, Met-Chem will assist Opinaca with the estimation of resources and reserves, the review of the mining design parameters, the metallurgical process, the project capital and operating cost estimates as well as financial analysis. The Feasibility Study is expected to be completed by the end of 2008.
