Not every consultant to the mining industry is listed in the InfoMine database. If your company is not yet listed, I urge you to do so. It is real easy—just go to this link and fill in the information. We will do the rest.

Many companies do not list because, thankfully, they are so busy they need no advertising and no exposure, and probably no extra work. An enviable situation and one we hope continues without limit.

One company I know of that is not listed is SES (the site is still under construction.) This is short for Strategic Engineering & Science. The company hails from Irvine, California. They provide highly specialized services to civil engineering and mining clients worldwide. Meridian Gold is one of their clients. For Meridian Gold they have worked for many years on mines including the Beartrack mine in Idaho, the Royal Mountain King Mine in California, and properties as far flung as Mexico, Chile and Argentina.

Chief amongst their staff is Ian Hutchison. I have know him since the early 1970s and I have worked with and for him on and off over the years. About two years ago after a pretty illustrious career with TRC, he started SES. Today he has about fifteen folk with him and they are all busy.
