Sponsored Message and Featured News Release Specifications

MINING.com, the sister site of InfoMine, can help your product or service stand out. As of the fall of 2010, we email 85,000 digests each day to mining and investment professionals.

Sponsored Message

Sponsored messages are short pieces of text. The sponsored message has a very prominent spot in all three digest; basically, it is the first thing the viewers see when they open their email. After the ad has been formatted into HTML, it should not be longer than 9.5 cm long. To help you submit an ad that is the appropriate length, here are some GENERAL GUIDELINES for submitting ad copy. Please note that you do not have to use all these elements. You can also cut down or borrow from other elements. For example, you could get rid of the subhead altogether and use the space saved to add more characters to the body. The sponsored message is up to you.

  • HEADER: About 30 characters including spaces
  • SUBHEAD: About 80 characters including spaces
  • BODY WITH NO IMAGE: About 750 characters including spaces. Bold characters will use up more space.
  • BODY WITH IMAGE: About 500 characters including spaces. Bold characters will use up more space. Image should be about 100x100 pixels.
Featured News Release

When the featured news release appears in the digest, it should be no longer than 6 cm long. You can add a small image, but you will be limited to about 30 words for the excerpt. For a featured news release without an image, you get about 60 words.

The excerpt links to post. The post can be any length. You can add pictures, links, documents or other media to your Featured News Release. Featured News Releases can run for a day or a week. Talk to your sales representative for more details.

Formatting, such as fonts and layout, will change when copied into our content management system. However, a PDF or other document can be attached to the post so you can retain the original format.
