Miramar Yellowknife Autoclave Facility
| Description: |
(1) Miramar Yellowknife Autoclave Facility. The autoclave measures 3.2m in diameter X 9.75m long, has a carbon steel shell and is lined with lead and brick. The vessel has four (4) internal compartments, each equipped with a mechanical agitator. The autoclave will operate continuously at 410 degrees Fahrenheit and 430 psi. The slurry retention time is about 2 hours @ an average of 15.5% solids. Vessel operation: 4 tph or 96 tpd, using Toyo high pressure diaphragm feed pumps. The system is controlled by a Bailey computerized DCS system. Engineering was carried out by Wright Engineers and the Vessel was constructed in 1991, commissioned in 1992. |
