Canaf Group announced that it has completed the first sale of diamonds recovered from its alluvial deposits at its Gendema property in Sierra Leone. In February 2009 commenced operations at their site on the banks of the river Sewa, in the district of Bo. To date receipts of approximately US$28,000.00 have been received from the sale of diamonds. The total of 809 diamonds recovered weighing 272.31 carats. Currently preparing to re-commence mining operations in November, when the river water level will be in recline, by means of operating a small dredge and divers. The company holds the mining rights to 25 acres of river mining licences along the banks.
