Company NewsMonday, November 09, 2009 Commander Resources reported gold assays have been received in the first batch of surface channel and chip samples returned from several new gold showings discovered in the Hébert Prospect Area, part of the Baffin Island Gold project. The new high-grade gold discoverie s, called “Traciane” and “Hébert South” expand the main Hébert mineralized system. At Hébert South results include 373.90 g/t gold over 0.25m, 241.30 g/t gold over 0.25m and 104.50 g/t gold over 0.30m and rock chip and grab samples include 442 g/t gold, 252.90 g/t gold, 134.80 g/t gold and 103.60 g/t gold. At Traciane results include 66.84 g/t gold over 0.38m, 31.49 g/t gold over 0.85m.
