Northern Star Mining provided further results from its surface and underground exploration and development programs in Canada. At Malartic-Midway project, drilling from underground returned 6.56 g/t gold over 11.0 m and drifting and development of the North Briar zone prior to bulk sampling (mining) is continuing. The first long hole blast in the Chabela zone has been completed and mucking of the initial 4,000 tonnes is underway. At Beacon Mill, the start up is scheduled for November 23, with an initial 5-7 day run of waste rock for bedding of the mill. Presently the rod and ball mills have been loaded and prepared for operations. At the McKenzie Break project, blasting and excavation of the decline portal entrance will be complete by November 20. Bolting and screening of the portal walls will begin by the week of November 23. At Callahan project, surface drilling is also ongoing.
