Anatolia is among the most active and well established mineral explorers
in Turkey and is now on this country's shortlist of companies developing large
scale gold deposits.
The 100% owned Çöpler Gold Project is slated to achieve production within
2 years. Total contained reserves and resources now exceed 6 million ounces
gold. Initial development is directed toward the near-surface 2.8 million ounces
leachable gold reserves. Programs are continuing to increase and upgrade
Çöpler's additional 1.7 million ounces gold oxide resource. Other long-term
potential lies in the sulfide gold mineralization, which Anatolia is looking at
now.
Anatolia builds upon aggressive and sustained exploration programs, active in
Turkey since 1996. A strong in-country team has established a diverse portfolio
of prospects. With nearly 1 million hectares under its control, Anatolia and Rio
Tinto are partners on key world-class copper and gold targets. Other prospective
targets are advancing through various joint ventures and Anatolia funded
programs.
