LARGE SILVER-MANGANESE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN ARIZONA
Wildcat Silver Corporation is a Vancouver-based mineral exploration company with an 80% interest in the Hardshell property in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. Hardshell hosts silver, manganese, copper, lead, and zinc mineralization, and contains an indicated mineral resource estimate of 36.2 million ounces of silver and 900 million pounds of manganese, plus an inferred resource totalling 84.9 million ounces of silver and 7.5 billion pounds of manganese. Wildcat trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol WS.
HARDSHELL - Wildcat is currently working on a preliminary economic assessment for the Hardshell project expected for completion in 2010. In November 2008 Wildcat announced the results of some ongoing metallurgical test work being done by Hazen Research Inc. The work identified improvements to initial design concepts that are expected to reduce capital and operating costs by removing acid from the grinding step. Test work is ongoing and firm estimates will be provided on completion of the study. Preliminary results using the magnetic properties of Hardshell’s ore indicate further potential capital and operating cost reductions.
