Pioneer Resources reported on its Australian exploration activities for the quarter ended December 31, 2009. At the Golden Cities gold project limited RC drilling is reported to have intersected significant mineralization and a 7,000 m RAB drilling program is scheduled to be completed during April 2010. At the Golden Ridge drilling results were disappointing and no further exploration work was planned. At the Acra nickel project a down-hole EM survey did not indicate a conductor in the vicinity of the sparse sulphide mineralization detected in a few drill holes.

Pioneer Resources announced drill results at Acra JV project (Pioneer 40% and Xstrata 60%), Western Australia. Highlights include hole JBDD015 Jubilee West Prospect) which returned 9.55 m at 0.98% nickel and 0.0362% copper from 654.0 m including 0.85 m at 3.05% nickel, 0.0524% copper from 662.70 m.

Pioneer Resources Limited reported that aprogram of stratigraphic diamond drilling, EM surveys and Aircore drilling is about to commence at their Golden Ridge project, Leo Dam prospect in Western Australia. At their Acra nickel project, Western Australia drilling was planned to commence in December 2009. At Mt. Chester manganese project has reported an initial target based on a 500m long rock chip and soil geochemical anomaly, with rock chip assays ranging between 30% and 49% Mn. A second manganese soil anomaly is evident north along strike of the initial outcropping target.
