Rimfire Minerals has closed a previously announced CAD102,000 non-brokered flow-through private placement. Rimfire plans to use the proceeds of the financing to finance initial exploration on the Adam property and other projects in British Columbia The 15 sq km (60 claim units) Adam property, located 25 km southwest of Barrick Gold's Eskay Creek mine, .was acquired, by staking, in May. To date, no drilling has been conducted on the property.

A field program was to be initiated this summer to evaluate the project.
In 1989, a helicopter-borne VLF/magnetics survey was performed.
In 1988, mapping and geochemical sampling was carried out, focusing at lower elevations in the King Creek valley.
In 1986 and 1987, the Mt. Dunn and Cole prospects were restaked and limited prospecting and geochemical sampling was carried out on the lower Gossan Creek area from a camp on King Creek.
In 1983, limited geochemical sampling was carried out in the summer.
In 1981, reconnaissance silt and soil samples were taken and followed up with a soil sampling and a VLF/magnetic survey over the ridge top between King and Terwilligen Creek.
In 1980, the Cole prospect was staked on the basis of anomalous heavy mineral results from a regional stream sediment survey.
In 1976, mapping and several geophysical surveys were carried out. The IP survey indicated a trend towards higher total sulphide, greater width and greater depth of mineralization in the southern part of the grid.
In 1975 and 1976, soils were collected on a 120 x 120 metre grid over the broad ridge-top between King and Fewright Creeks.
In 1974, claims were staked over the Mt. Dunn prospect.
In 1929, 17 g/t "free gold" on the surface was located in two claims. |
