Latest Information March 31, 2004 Compilation work continued. In 2002, at the Harrell Lake property, one of eight properties staked by Aurora, reconnaissance geological mapping and collection of rock and till samples for geochemical analysis was completed. The rock samples yielded less than 10 ppb gold, however, one sample (173478) of peridotite assayed 0.20% Cu and another sample (173469) gave 186 ppm Cu and 114 ppm Zn. At the Rowlandson Lake property, fieldwork conducted in the 2002 field season consisted of 12 person days of geological mapping and the collection of 31 rock samples for geochemical analysis. Results included Values of 154.15 and 107.55 g/t gold were obtained from grab samples (# 174613 & 174615) of a 0.3 m wide quartz-sulphide vein at the 1400’ showing. At the Peeagwon 3 property, one heavy mineral sample from esker material and one heavy mineral sample from till were taken from the property. Results were pending. June 30, 2002 And continuing into the quarter ended Sep/02, a field reconnaissance program was initiated during the second quarter and continued through the third quarter. It consisted of geological mapping, rock sampling, soil geochemical sampling, till and alluvial sampling for heavy minerals and kimberlite indicator minerals and ground magnetometer surveys. Much of the field program was directed to evaluating airborne electromagnetic and magnetic targets identified by earlier Inco surveys. As part of the field program, eight claim blocks consisting of 72 claims and covering 17,600 hectares were acquired by staking to cover targets of interest. Following the evaluation of the summer 2002 program results, targets of interest were to be tested by airborne geophysical surveys and drilling. |
