Property NewsDecember 9, 2010 Lundin Mining Corporation reported that very heavy rains over the last few days in the Extremadura region of Spain have caused operations to be curtailed. A decision will be made regarding the future of the operations. This decision is likely within the next few weeks. October 27, 2010 In the quarter ended September, 2010, Aguablanca ore production was significantly reduced owing to the decision, as reported last quarter, to bring forward a pushback in the pit that was originally planned for next year. In addition, 10 days of production were lost to industrial action at Aguablanca. August 6, 2009 In the quarter ended Jun30/09, nickel and copper production at Aguablanca remained similar to last year. Mill throughput was above last year while mined tonnage was lower than in previous quarters, as partially oxidized surface ore stockpiles were
blended with ROM production. The use of oxidized ore resulted in reduced recovery. |
