South Atlantic Resources Ltd.'s 39% owned publicly traded Swedish subsidiary, North Atlantic Natural Resources AB (NAN) announced that it has initiated a platinum and palladium exploration program in Finland. NAN has filed claim applications totalling 70 sq km to cover the Akanvaara layered intrusive complex. Previous drilling by the Finnish Geological Survey has identifying 3 separate, narrow (1-5 m) layers of chrome and vanadium mineralization with elevated values of platinum, palladium and gold mineralization up to a combined 1.4 grams per tonne.
