Central Asia Resources announced interim results of bulk metallurgical tests on the company?s Altyntas gold prospect in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A 346 kg bulk composite sample is undergoing metallurgical tests at Ammtec and SGS Lakefield Oretest in Perth. The scoping level tests are designed to explore potential processing routes for Altyntas ore. Altyntas contains 600,000 ounces of gold and is planned to be the company?s second production site. Whole ore cyanide leach tests produced a recovery of 92% (p80 of 125µm) after 48 hours suggesting a similar recovery is potentially achievable via conventional CIL processes. Leach kinetics were very fast with 80% leached in the first hour and cyanide consumption was moderately high (1.09kg/t NaCN).
Central Asia Resources announced results of the diamond drilling program completed at the Altyntas project located in Kazakhstan. Highlights include hole DDH338 which intersected 25.8 m of 1.85 g/t gold from 79.4 m, including 6.0 m of 5.08 g/t gold.
Central Asia Resources announced further drill results from its Altyntas gold prospect in Southern Kazakhstan. Highlights include hole 331 intersecting 25.0 m grading 3.58 g/t gold from 151.8 m including 16.4 m grading 28.7 g/t gold.
