Latest Information  February 21, 2013 Newmont Mining Corp. announced new reserve and/or resource estimates for CARLIN / CARLIN OPEN PITS, USA. December 31, 2008 The property is the subject of further optimization studies an the development plan continues to be under evaluation. In 2007, Newmont continued optimization and engineering on alternative plans for the proposed operation. The Newmont also initiated environmental and social baseline data collection in preparation for submitting permit documents in 2008. In the second half of 2006, the company deferred further development of Akyem, pending completion of permitting, resolution of country-wide power shortages and further engineering and optimization. |
