April 30, 1993
6 drill holes and 300 m of trenching were completed on the project Approximately 1,100 rock and soil samples and 248 stream sediment samples were collected as part of a regional program of geochemical surveying, prospecting and geological mapping. Chip sampling of 2 trenches has been undertaken on the acquired ground (Dec/91). Gold, arsenic, antimony, and barium mineralization has been identified along the hanging wall side of a large shear zone. Rocks within the shear zone are intensely deformed schists, mylonites, phyllonites, phyllites, and quarzites that have been metamorphosed to amphibolite grade. The rocks are thought to have originally been a mixed sequence of sediments, intermediate volcanics and volcaniclastics. The best chip/channel sample in saprolitised bedrock across the strike of shear zone inludes 32.6 m averaging 0.529 g/t gold of which 11.3 m averaged 1.022 g/t. A program of detailed geologic mapping and geochemical sampling was carried out on the property in order to define drill targets.
