Canada's Quadra Mining will start a 14,000 m drill program in April at its newly acquired Magistral copper-molybdnenum JV in Peru, the president of partner Inca Pacific Resources, Anthony Floyd, told BNAmericas.com. Four drill rigs will complete infill drilling at Magistral and collect core for definitive metallurgical testing, said Floyd. An important aspect of Quadra's work will be to refine the overall recovery rate of molybdenum and assess the production of separate copper and molybdenum concentrates, he said. "We don't anticipate any big issues as the copper mineralization, in the form of chalcopyrite, and molybdenum mineralization, in the form of molybdenite, are quite coarse," said Floyd.

Released the drill results from the final holes of the 2004 drilling campaign at the Antoro Sur copper-gold property. The 2004 exploration target at Antoro Sur is a near-surface, gently east-dipping "blanket" of supergene-enriched copper mineralization. The area covered by the 2004 drilling measures approximately 650 m east-west by 600 m north-south. The results are for drill hole AS-50 to AS-60, which include both infill and step-out holes in the southern, eastern and northern parts of the drill grid. Highlights include hole AS-51 at 23.6m grading 1.89 % Cu and 0.89 g/t Au including 10.0m at 3.74 % Cu and 1.83 g/t Au and hole AS-52 at 41.0m grading 0.78 % Cu and 0.13 g/t Au including 12.0 m at 1.19 % Cu and 0.09 g/t Au.
