Beaconsfield Gold announced that a conceptual development study based on a nominal 1.5 million tonnes per year flotation plant has been completed at uts Ararat project in Victoria, Australia. This study investigated resource, mining, metallurgical processing, environmental, infrastructure, permitting and cost aspects and identified areas which require further work to take the project to a Feasibility Study.
Beaconsfield Gold has reached agreement with Range River Gold whereby it may acquire a 75% interest in the Ararat project, located in Western Victoria, Australia, by funding exploration expenditure of $1 million over 4 years.
Gold production was lower in the quarter despite the July production of 2,174
ounces being the highest on record. The failure of the crusher for most of July resulted in low volumes of ore to heaps and lower gold production in August and September. Production in October is growing, but will still be below the 2,500 ounce month target. A ramp was built to allow conveyor access to the top of leach pads 1 and 2. Ore commenced loading on top of pads 1 and 2 at the end of the quarter and will continue for the remaining life of the project.
